Our Story.

“We need to help more people!”
We would exclaim to each other, whilst trying to manage a full diary and waitlists.

“They didn’t teach us this at uni!”
Health professionals would reveal, feeling low on confidence but wanting to help in any way possible.

“We need more people who ‘get’ this!”
Patients would express, often frustrated at having to explain their condition to yet another provider.

And so it was, that Connection Medicine was born, after too many of the same conversations happening over… and over… again.

After working together in a centre for chronic illness management, we quickly identified that
a) this patient group lights us both up,
b) we love working together, and
c) the need for practitioner support in this space is real.

Between Flo’s decade of clinical experience and Jen’s diverse history of university lecturing, working in private practice, hospitals and the insurance industry, it was decided that Connection Medicine was the natural answer to so many questions being posed. You know when things just feel right?

Connection is at the heart of what we do, and we believe it is essential to health and healing.

Our core vision is to facilitate the connection between:

  • practitioners and their peers, for holistic patient management

  • practitioners and mentors, for a supportive network

  • practitioners and patients, for therapeutic alliance

  • patients and their bodies/selves, for a deep understanding of their needs and how to meet them

  • everyone and their nervous system, for regulation and wellbeing

  • minds and bodies, in line with the most recent evidence in this space

  • disease labels (eg: ME/CFS, POTS) and an understanding of neuroscience, for the best chance at recovery
